Columbia College Chicago
Columbia College Chicago’s Design Department Show 2017 was a self-initiated project seeking to fill the void of Columbia’s lack of an official senior thesis. I found that our department’s graduate show always lacked branding, and pitched the idea of creating a visual identity system for the show, and starting a tradition of having a senior student brand the show for each year to come.

For the inagural year, I pulled on themes of collaboration and the raw material of the student body, using a combination of basic shapes to create the wordmark, as well as various compositions. I used this as an opportunity to flex all of the skills I learned while at Columbia—branding, publication design, creating a typeface, and creating signage by hand.
